Application limits represent the number of applications that can remain deployed in your workspace at the same time.
Definitions
What counts as an app?
An app is a separately deployed application inside your SmolClouds workspace.
These count as four apps
- sales-dashboard

- admin-api
- customer-report
Previous versions and deployment history of the same application do not count as separate apps.
Sleeping applications still count toward your application limit, but do not consume active compute while sleeping.
Public and private apps
Public applications can be accessed through their public URL. Private applications require authentication before access is granted.

- What counts as an app?
- An app is a separately deployed application in your SmolClouds workspace. Previous versions of the same app do not count as separate applications.
- Do sleeping apps count toward my limit?
- Yes. They count toward your deployed app limit, but do not consume active compute while sleeping.
- Do sleeping apps cost compute?
- No active compute is consumed while the application is sleeping. Storage and other platform resources may still apply.
- Can AI agents deploy directly to SmolClouds?
- Yes. SmolClouds is designed around API-first deployment and can be integrated with coding agents and automated workflows.
- Can I deploy from GitHub?
- Yes. Connect a supported repository and deploy directly from your project.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. Custom domain allowances depend on your plan.
- Can I host private applications?
- Yes. Private applications are available on paid plans.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. You can start with the Free plan without entering a credit card. Upgrade when you need more applications, private access or higher usage limits.
- What happens if I exceed my monthly usage?
- Your applications will not unexpectedly disappear when normal usage increases. If your plan exceeds its included resource allowance, additional usage may be billed based on current SmolClouds usage rates. You can monitor usage and limits from your dashboard at any time.
- Are deployments unlimited?
- All plans include deployment and build allowances designed for their intended usage. Rate limits help prevent accidental build loops, runaway agents and platform abuse. Higher plans include higher deployment and concurrent build limits.
- Can I change plans later?
- Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your SmolClouds plan from your billing dashboard as your application fleet grows. Plan changes and billing adjustments are applied according to the current billing policy.
- Is SmolClouds designed for high-traffic websites?
- SmolClouds is optimized primarily for small, low-to-moderate traffic software such as internal tools, dashboards, APIs and agent-generated applications.
